Bag filtration works by the principle of pressure filtration. The substance to be filtered is pumped from the inside out within the bag filter, in such a way that the impurities remain in the bag and the clean substance is evacuated through the bottom of the filter holder.

These systems consist of just three elements: the casing (pressure vessel), the support basket and the bag.
